The October wrap-up

Adam was nice enough to point out to me the other day that I hadn't written anything on my blog "in like...forever." I guess he doesn't realize how busy I am each day robbing and killing people in Mafia Wars.

Since I don't have a really great memory and can't remember much about what I've done this month, I'll just start (and finish) with what's happened in the last week.
Of course there's Halloween. Emily takes dance class at our local Family Museum and she has for the last three years. This is her fourth. Every year we get a yearly membership so that Blake can play while Emily goes to class each week. Along with our membership we also get a free ticket to their yearly Scarecrow Shenanigans. This year's Shenanigans was last Sunday. Here are some highlights:

Blake dressed as a Vampire:

Emily dressed as a hippie:

She also made vomit out of cooked applesauce, some jello and a host of breakfast foods:

She dissected a real cow's eye (this is the lens she is holding):

We watched the Limelight Dancers while Blake checked himself out in the mirror:

We went on a hay rack ride:

...and had a generally good time:

Of course we decorated the house for Halloween. Here's our skeletons doing the YMCA:

We carved pumpkins. This is my creation:

...and that's about it. Oh yeah. We also added to our little family last Friday. Internet, meet Hank. Our new 10 week-old shih tzu:

Happy fall, everyone!!!
